Sometimes inspiration just strikes without any warning. While rooting around looking for a particular tool, we ran across several gorgeous natural azurite crystals. Beautiful, sparkling crystals in such pure azurite are quite rare! We popped one into a spiral silver plated cage, slid in a beadcap to hold the cage in place, and topped it with Bali silver angel wings and a blue kyanite bead, and voila! an angel pendant! We even added a tiny Bali beadcap for a halo before hanging the pendant beneath a floral-patterned Bali silver bail. The pendant is 1 3/4 inches in length and comes on an 18" silver plated chain. As with all of our items, these come in ziplock bags to keep tarnish away.

Azurite is intensely connected with malachite. The lovely swirls of malachite made the stone a delight to women in ancient Egypt, who ground it into powders to apply to their eyes. In fact, as malachite forms from copper, we find that the stone itself is ruled by Venus (copper), symbol of woman - a symbol which combines the circle of perfection and eternity with the equal-armed cross of matter. Venus brings and manifests beauty, draws wealth, and greatly enhances creativity in all the Arts.

It is lovely happenstance is that one almost never finds green malachite without azurite! Identical in composition to malachite except for the fact that it grows as crystal nodules, azurite is also comprised of copper, but is a precursor to malachite, forming delicate indigo crystalline clusters which hold less water than malachite. One of the two colors (the other is amethyst) of The High Priestess of the Tarot, azurite also heightens divinatory and prophetic abilities, the psi-senses in general, meditative and trance states. Also, azurite and other very deep, indigo blue stones like lapis, iolite, etc., have long been called "Stones of Heaven."

While malachite helps purge emotional imbalances, azurite draws into the process the high Spiritual energy of the brow/Third Eye chakra, allowing us to synthesize deep wisdom from the lessons which are the hopeful perceptions of life's experiences and purify from our aura any psychic blocks and toxicities which are congesting our chakras.

Individually and together, these stones are energy purifiers - they move around energy that has become congested.
