An antique mid-19th century French sterling silver 4-piece hors d’oeuvre serving set, consisting of a flat server, a scalloped shell serving spoon, a 3-pronged fork and a pair of sugar tongs. Each piece is beautifully decorated in a pattern of neo-classical styling with laurel leaves and elegant, scrolling foliate engraving.

The set is complete and in the box, hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st titre mark, designating .950/1000 silver content and maker's marks for Parisian silversmith Adolphe Boulenger, active from 1876-1899 at 4 rue du Vert-Bois, Paris.

In wonderful condition, with wear to the presentation box commensurate with age.
