A stunning set of 6 French Limoges porcelain 10 7/8" dinner plates decorated in raised impasto gilt decor atop a rich, cobalt blue background. Small rosettes and vines are sprinkled throughout the magnificent arabesque frieze that borders each plate, trimmed by an encrusted gold inner edge decorated in a pattern of similar florals and laurel leaves. A truly stunning set, quite rare and sure to please! And in very good condition with just the subtlest signs of use throughout the years in the form of light wear to the gold inner border, as can be seen in the photos. Each plate is marked at the back for the William Guerin factory of Limoges, France, in green and alongside another William Guerin mark in gold, circa. 1900-1932.
