Boxed Set of Antique 24 pc R. Wallace & Sons Sterling Silver Open Salt Cellars w/ Lenox Porcelain Inserts

A lovely antique 24 piece sterling silver salt cellar set, complete and housed in its original presentation box.

The set consists of:

12 R. Wallace & Sons marked sterling silver salt cellars, beautifully decorated in a border of reticulated tracery

12 matching salt spoons and

12 cream colored and gold rimmed porcelain inserts by Lenox, marked with the older green wreath and "L" Lenox mark.

In very good condition for its age, rare to find complete and in the box. Three spoons from the set are later replacements, having marks for Webster & Company dating to the same period. Also, one of the original salt spoons has a bent at the bowl but still serviceable. The box shows wear commensurate with age.

Box measures 12 3/4" x 10" Salt cellars measure 1 5/8" in diameter. Salt spoon measures 2 3/8" in length.
