The charming little picture frame dates to around 1880 and originates from France. The sprung construction the top portion to be pulled away from the glass and the photo changes.

The bottom of the frame is simply charming with scroll feet, a floral motif and a leaf motif incorporated, finished with fine twisted gilded rope.

The original Victorian card inside is of course of Queen Victoria and underneath printed " Souvenir of The Queen's Jubilee 1887 ".

Excellent condition, measuring 5 3/4" tall x 3 1/2" wide at widest point. The picture aperture measures 4 1/4" x 2 1/2".
