The box is covered in a burgundy coloured leather case with two gold embossed stars which are placed to line up the top and bottom.
The underside of the box is printed in gold by what I would guess to be the retailer, F. H. Haupt, Hamburg.
When opened, the absolutely charming cards are revealed, the matching decks (one blue set and one pink set) with a pair of birds sitting in a blossoming tree. Both packs are marked Deutsches Reich / Funfzig PE. The cards are complete.
Excellent condition with usual minor wear to box, measuring 3" tall x 2" wide x 1 3/4" deep.
