Lovely, Capo-di-Monte cup and saucer featuring a Roman scene complete with a chariot drawn by two, fierce dragons. This scene is complimented with a gilded rim and a green and white twisted handle finished with soft green leaves. Both the floral design on the saucer and the scene on the cup are embossed allowing one not only to see but to also feel the meticulous detail. The demitasse cup stands 2" and the saucer measures 4 1/2" in diameter. Reversed on both is a faint, Capo-di-Monte hallmark used between 1771 and 1821. With the exception of gold wear, these antique, Italian beauties are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
