For those that love Grimm's Fairy Tales and also loved the artistry of the Actor, Jim Backus, this book is truly a special find. From the personal estate of Jim and Henny Backus. Each of the two volumes have signed bookplates of the actor and actress.

Condition: The slip case is in fair to good condition. The books themselves are in exceptional condition and pages as if not read. The spine of each book shows some fading but the covers are beautiful as is the color and black and white sketches within each book.

History: Jim Backus was the voice of the very popular Comic, Mr. McGoo, Portrayed, Mr. Howell on Gilligan's Island, Starred with his wife (Henny) Henriette Kay) in the series, I Married Joan, as well as another popular series, Blondie. Mr. Backus was also an author of several books.

Included in purchase: Vintage "The TV Collector" Nov. Dec. 1989. Tribute to Jim Backus. Died at 76 from pneumonia and Parkinson's Disease.
