#1719 On Kenosha Hill (negative title along bottom of right print). Alex Martin's Rocky Mountain Scenery, Published at Georgetown, Colorado. Located about 50 miles southwest of Denver on US285 between the current towns of Grant and Jefferson. Back in 1879, the Denver, South Park, and Pacific Railroad only reached to the foot of Kenosha Hill and the town of Webster (now a ghost town) where the passengers switched to stagecoach to continue their journey over the mountain and into South Park. When the railroad eventually topped the crest, the station house and other facilities that were placed there became known as Kenosha Station. About VG+ to Exc- condition. Vslt to slt light near edges, vslt to slt dirty, vslt edgewear.
